As part of the development of the Flood Relief Scheme, the public will be invited to participate in consultation events with the project team, as well as having access to Scheme documents and updates through this website.
The public are encouraged to participate in Public Consultation events which will be held at various stages throughout the project and to submit any information relevant to flooding in the area to the project team
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency an Opening Public Consultation Day (PCD) will not be held in person. Instead Opening Public Consultation will be via an online consultation portal (https://countydonegalfrs.ie/castlefinnfrs/index.php/opening-public-consultation) with postal drops commencing on 9th November 2020. The Public Consultation portal will remain open for the following six weeks. A second Public Consultation Event will be held once a preferred scheme has been identified and agreed with the Steering Group.

Stage I Opening Public Consultation
An initial, Opening Public Consultation was held between the 9th November 2020 and 23rd December 2020. For any further correspondence, please contact the team using the email provided.
Stage I Closing Public Consultation
Arrangements for the 2nd Public Consultation to close out Stage I will be confirmed once a preferred scheme has been identified and agreed with the Steering Group. Stakeholders and members of the public will be made aware of arrangements prior to the event.
There will also be a Public Display as part of the statutory planning process in Stage II of the project.
